15 Jan Celebrating the Success of Savannah United Alumni: Emma Beddow and Sarah Hungerford

Savannah United is proud to celebrate the achievements of alumni Emma Beddow and Sarah Hungerford as they conclude their exceptional collegiate soccer careers at Columbus State University (CSU). Emma and Sarah played pivotal roles in helping CSU make an impressive run to the NCAA semifinals for the second time in three years, showcasing the skill, dedication, and leadership that have defined their journeys.  

Emma and Sarah’s soccer careers began within Savannah United’s developmental programs, where they progressed through our Recreation, Academy, and Select pathways. As members of the 2002 Girls Premier team, they benefited from the club’s focus on fostering skill development and preparing players for success in competitive environments.  

The Academy and Select programs at Savannah United are specifically designed for boys and girls seeking advancement in a fun, competitive, and rewarding atmosphere. These programs serve as the ideal preparation for representing school teams or pursuing higher-level opportunities, including collegiate play, or professional soccer. Savannah United is proud to count alumni like Emma and Sarah among those who have reached impressive milestones, alongside others who have competed on some of soccer’s bigger stages.  

At CSU, Emma and Sarah’s leadership, success as scholar-athletes, and All-American honors exemplify the values instilled through Savannah United: teamwork, perseverance, and a passion for the game. Their accomplishments are a testament to the strong foundation built during their time with the club and serve as inspiration for the next generation of players.
